Float Fishing trips on the Arkansas River
For competent casters who require no instruction, we offer full and half-day float fishing trips.
Enjoy a relaxing day or evening in search of hungry rainbow or brown trout.
Many fishermen have caught their limit, but catch and release is encouraged.
Only flies or lures may be used, no live bait is allowed.
You may bring your own equipment, or rentals are available with advanced notice.

Spring Fishing Getaway (available April 18-May 25)
3 days of guided float fishing on the Arkansas River near Buena Vista. Lodging options include 2-nights stay in new luxurious cabins overlooking Chalk Creek located across from our base or 2-nights camping on the river in the Browns Canyon Wilderness. (River camping dependent on water levels).
With Cabin
$529/person double-occupancy. $449/person (4 people) includes all taxes and user fees. This package includes a continental breakfast basket, an evening snack on day one, and a riverside lunch on day two. The cabins each have one bedroom plus two bunks and are equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, coffee maker and toaster. Supply your own bedding or simplify your vacation and rent one of our linen packages. A gas grill plus utensils is on the porch along with a patio table and chairs for four.
Day One
3:00 pm: Check in at Four Corners Rafting office, time to unpack and change at cabin.
4:00 pm: Depart for Evening Float
9:00 pm: Return to cabin
Day Two
7:30 am: Depart for Full-Day Float, Lunch on the river
3:00 pm: Return to cabin, evening dinner on your own (ask us for recommendations)
Day Three
7:30 am: Depart for Morning Float
12:00 pm. Return to cabin; check out by 1:00 pm.
With Wilderness Camp
$649/person including all user fees. (Minimum 4 people) Includes all meals from Dinner on day one through Lunch on day three.
Day One
3:00 pm: Check in at Four Corners Rafting Office
4:00 pm: Depart for Evening Float down to Wilderness Camp
7:00 pm: Arrive at camp already set up by our camp staff, Gourmet Dinner served around the campfire. Stay warm and toasty in our included tents, sleeping bags, and outfitter camp mattresses.
Day Two
Spend all day hiking and fishing the banks of Browns Canyon, accessible only by whitewater raft. Enjoy a hot lunch in camp and feel free to have a mid-day siesta or hike while the fishing is light. Fish again until the sun goes down and return to camp where dinner and campfire will be waiting
Day Three
Back on the water as early as you like, spend the morning floating the Browns Canyon Whitewater section for some of the best fishing of the whole trip. Return to our office by 12:00 noon.
